Use of BSIS Logo

Pursuant to Business and Professions Code section 17533.6 it is illegal for any person, firm, corporation or association that is a non-governmental entity to use the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services’ (BSIS) logo. This prohibition includes the use of the BSIS logo on a webpage as a link and/or hyperlink to the BSIS webpage. If a non-governmental person, business or organization wishes to have a link and/or hyperlink from its website to the BSIS website, only general language referencing BSIS is permitted for the identification of the link and/or hyperlink.

The unauthorized use of the BSIS’ logo is a misdemeanor, which can result in the issuance of a fine up to $2,500, time in a county jail or both.
