ATTENTION: Security Guard and Proprietary Private Security Officer Registrants

Once your registration has been cleared and appears on the Bureau's Website you may work as a guard or patrolperson pending receipt of the actual registration card so long as all of the following apply:

• 1. they have been approved by the bureau;
• 2. they carry a hardcopy printout of the bureau's approval from the website; and
• 3. they carry a valid picture ID.

The actual registration will be mailed to the applicant and should be received in 15 to 20 business days.
